The Persian Gulf War: Reporting Dissent

Several protests against the military build-up in the Persian Gulf took place both in the U.S. and abroad on October 20, 1990. One of the largest demonstrations on that date was in New York City. On January 16, 1991, the United States initiated Operation Desert Storm. The largest U.S. protest against the war took place on January 26, 1991 in Washington D.C.
